What is the Stellar M22?
The Stellar M22 is a powerful, multi-application platform that enables us to safely and effectively treat skin conditions and hair removal. The device can treat many different skin types, ages, and genders. The Stellar M22 uses light beams to stimulate your skin’s natural production of collagen and elastic fibers. It’s one of the most advanced skincare innovations and our office is proud to take advantage of its skin rejuvenating capabilities.
How the Stellar M22 aids your skincare routine
The Stellar M22 is capable of treating over 30 skin conditions, including:
Port-wine stains and other pigmented birthmarks
What to Expect
Depending on your procedure, treatment can take between 15–30 minutes. The device cools the skin between pulses, you may experience a stinging sensation similar to a rubber band snapping, but it shouldn’t be painful. Multiple sessions are required to achieve optimum results. Before and after treatment, you should take precautions with sun exposure, abrasive cleansers, and other skin irritators. Most patients may return to regular activities after treatment without delay.
What is the OptiLight?
The OptiLight is the only FDA-approved light therapy (IPL) for managing dry eye disease due to MGD (meibomian gland deficiency). The OptiLight uses precise broad-spectrum light to address signs of dry eye disease caused by MGD, the most common cause of dry eye. The OptiLight is a precise and comfortable dry eye procedure developed to reach the delicate contours below the eye and reduce inflammation.
How the OptiLight helps alleviate Dry Eye
Reduces inflammatory mediators
Improves tear breakup time
Alleviates abnormal blood vessels
Restores Meibomian glands
What to expect
The treatment is facilitated in 4 sessions spaced 2–4 weeks apart; each session only takes 10–15 minutes. During treatment, Dr. Kulak will cover your eyes with a protective shield and apply a thin layer of gel on the treatment area. Then, the OptiLight is applied to the skin below the eyes. The treatment is non-invasive, you’ll feel a warm sensation of light with minimal discomfort. Most patients can return to regular activities after treatment and expect to see improvement after the 2nd or 3rd session.
